Day 1 – Wed 18 Sept – London Olympic Velodrome – Harwich 130.01km / 743m height gain
After leaving the Olympic Velodrome we head East out of Stratford initially on busier roads until crossing the M25, we then follow quiet roads and country lanes through the Essex countryside passing through Maldon and Colchester before arriving at our days destination of Harwich where we will take dinner and relax before our overnight sailing to Holland.
Day 2 – Thu 19 Sept - Hook of Holland to Amsterdam
90.19km / 166m height gain
With the hills now behind us we hug the coast all morning as we cycle North past the Hague through the sand dunes before heading East following cycle lanes and canal paths until we enter the outskirts of Amsterdam and our overnight hotel, a short and convenient 15 minute Metro ride from the city centre.
Day 3 – Fri 20 Sept – Amsterdam - Breda
124.63km / 146m height gain
Today is a flat, fast but often windy day following canals and country lanes passing through historic Gouda and Dordrecht. We utilise two short ferry crossings today before arriving at our comfortable nights hotel in Breda for a well-earned rest after Amsterdam’s bright lights.
Day 4 – Sat 21 Sept – Breda to Brussels
123.83km / 314m height gain
Our final days cycling is not dissimilar to the previous day, quiet lanes and canal paths passing through a few short built up areas before arriving at the iconic Atomium statue where we will celebrate our achievement with medals and photographs before cycling the remaining few kilometres into Brussels where we will take in the famous Grand Place and the much photographed Mannekin Pis before arriving at our central hotel where we will say farewell to our bikes before enjoying our celebration meal in a nearby restaurant.
