Irish Odyssey
To climb the two grandest mountains in Ireland. 'Slieve Donard' in County Down, Northern Ireland 849m (2786ft) and 'Carrauntoohil' in Munster, the Republic of Ireland 1038m (3406ft).
A short voyage of discovery in both the North and the South of the Emerald Ireland, visiting both the Majestic 'Mountains of Mourne' in Northern Ireland, and the 'Macgillycuddy Reeks' in the Republic of Ireland.
A guided ascent of the highest peaks in Ireland, and a worthwhile follow on to the National 3 Peaks challenge. Both mountains offering an achievable challenge to the keen hill walker and aspiring novice alike.
The challenge will start in the North with Slieve Donard and finish in the South with Carrauntoohil.
Participants will fly into Dublin Airport, arriving on Friday evening, and depart on Monday evening. All transport will be provided and accommodation including breakfasts will be in quality bunkhouses located within the National Parks.

Itinerary
- Day 1 Friday - Arrive Dublin Airport and transfer in Minibus to bunkhouse in the Mourne Mountains. Evening briefing.
- Sat - AM Climb Slieve Donard (4 hrs) and depart in Mini Bus to Killarney, approximately 6 – 7 hours, overnight in bunkhouse.
- Sun AM Climb Carrauntoohil (6 hrs) and back to Killarney for further night in bunkhouse.
- Mon AM Depart to Dublin for PM Flight (evening / optional brewery trip / 195 miles 4.5 hrs)

Other Information
Accommodation
Accommodation will be 3 nights in quality bunkhouses including a traditional Irish breakfast. A sleeping bag and towel will be required.
Equipment
Normal Summer hill walking clothing and equipment will be required as per the website 'kit-list'.
Transport
Transport throughout the challenge will be by private minibus.
