Scotland offers some of the most rugged, remote and spectacular Alpinesque ridges and summits you will find outside of the European Alps, with lush vegetated valleys dividing jagged imposing ridges it is no wonder that some of the best mountaineers in the World come to Scotland to hone their climbing and mountaineering skills.
Imp Adventures are proud to offer a fantastic insight into this spectacliar environment with a week of top notch scrambling and peak bagging amongst some of the regions finest peaks.
The week will begin with a short refresher of basic mountaineering skills before starting a week of progressive scrambling and peak bagging. During the course of the week participants will clock up many of the classic routes around the Lochaber region and further afield. Possible routes could include; The 'Carn Mor Dearg Arete' or the 'Ledge Route' to the summit of Ben Nevis, or 'Curved Ridge' to the top of 'Buachaille Etive Mor', and the classic 'Aonach Eagach' ridge if conditions allow.
The routes and peaks will be tailored to suit the abilities and aspirations of the participants, but ultimately all participants will enjoy a fantastic week in the great outdoors. (Weather and midges permitting)

Itinerary
- Day 1 – Meet on Friday evening in Bunkhouse in Fort William followed by comprehensive briefing and clothing and equipment check.
- Day 2 – Introduction to basic mountaineering techniques and skills
- Day 3 – Mountain day, ascent of classic Munro
- Day 4 – Mountain day, classic grade 1 route to summit
- Day 5 – Mountain day, ascent of classic mountain route
- Day 6 – Mountain day, ascent of classic ridge route
- Day 7 – Departure.
Whats Included
- Professional Leadership by an experienced and qualified Mountain Leader whom is a current mountain first aider.
- Quality Bunkhouse accommodation including breakfasts

Accommodation
Accommodation will be in a quality bunkhouse including breakfasts.
Equipment
Summer hill walking clothing and equipment will be required as per the website kit list with the addition of helmets and harnesses.
Transport
A minibus and dedicated driver will be used throughout. (pick ups from Manchester and Glasgow can be arranged on route)
